NEW CLIENTS WELCOME!
It may be surprising to know that suicide rates are the highest in the Spring, especially in the month of April. As we are moving into Spring now, keep an eye on each other, reach out and call someone you haven't heard from in a while, invite someone for tea or a walk. People who are experiencing depression often can't reach out and children may not have the words or know what they are feeling. Elders especially may be isolated and feel they are a burden.
Signs to watch for:
1. Sleeping too much or too little, low energy or feeling sad for more than a few weeks
2. Weight fluctuations, no appetite or eating too much
3. Children may be more irritable than sad
4. Difficulty focusing, remembering things or making decisions
5. Feelings of hopelessness or "what's the use"
6. Not interested in doing things that were once enjoyed
7. Talk of suicide
To talk about what you or your child might be experiencing, or encourage a friend who may need help, call for a free 15-min. consultation to get started.
