About

Respect, Care and Openness

NEW CLIENTS WELCOME! The many changes children and families experience can create stess, anxiety and confusion. The changes that occur daily, in school, in our community and in the world vary from the small to the hugely significant. Many families right now are experiencing a great deal of uncertainty and fear. Learning coping tools to help with fear, confusion and the stress this creates, can be life changing. Some are as simple as keeping a gratitude journal, some are more involved and require more work. To talk about what you or your child might be experiencing, or encourage a friend who may need help, call for a free 15-min. consultation to get started. Art for Self Care, every Tues 5:30-7:00p, $15 adults, $10 teens, must RSVP. Check https://www.facebook.com/kidzcounseling for schedule

Testimonials

“I have known Shawn as a colleague and friend since 2006 when we job-shared a speech-pathology position. I have observed her skillfully and creatively treating children with kindness, patience and a sense of humor that I have rarely seen in my career.”

Donna Bankson, Colleague, Retired Speech Pathologist

“Shawn provided outstanding care during the worst time of my life. With her gentle and caring nature, she helped me realize my potential is far greater than my circumstances. I will forever be grateful for Shawn's guidance.”

Former client

“Shawn worked with my children from elementary into middle school. She exhibits grace, kindness and respect. I have witnessed her ability to communicate with many children and parents, quickly adapting to the needs of the person and their unique challenges. ”
